Born from Necessity
In the early days of VoIP, service providers faced a brutal reality. Bandwidth was expensive, connections were unreliable, and the internet simply wasn't designed for real-time voice communication.
South African ITSPs had it particularly tough — limited bandwidth, high costs, and customers who expected the same call quality they got from traditional phone lines.
Voipex was created to solve this specific problem. The result was ViBE — a protocol that didn't just work around the internet's limitations, but fundamentally changed how traffic moves across networks.
